The Conference is attended by passionate leaders, experts, and advocates from every corner of the disability community. Conference attendees are influential in their fields and communities, and play an important role in the provision of services and supports for individuals and organizations around the world; and include professors and researchers from leading institutions; those involved in local, state, and federal governments and public policy; special and general educators, and school administrators; self-advocates, adult service providers; students, family members, and many others. Conference Registration. Early-bird registration for the 2024 TASH Conference opens Tuesday, May 14 and is available through Monday, September 16. Regular rates are available from September 17 through the Conference. Conference rates are listed below. Be sure to review our registration policies first.


* Awards Luncheon registration is for people not otherwise attending the Conference, but who want to attend the Awards Luncheon (e.g. a special guest of the awardee). Attendance at the Awards Luncheon is included with all other registrations. Signing up for a TASH membership today will save you money on your Conference registration AND provide you with member benefits for a full year! To become a member visit, www.TASH.org/join.

Conference Schedule

You can view the basic Conference schedule now. The complete Conference schedule will be published in August.

Conference Location

This year’s Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 601 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70113. The nearest airport is Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). NOTE: Ground transportation to/from the airport, and to/from other neighboring hotels is the attendee’s responsibility.

Room Block – Hyatt Regency New Orleans

A room block has been secured on property at a special rate of $185/$210 (single/double occupancy) per night plus tax and applicable fees. This rate is available through Friday, November 8, 2024, or until our room block is sold out, whichever comes first. Reserve your room online or call (800) 233-1234 and mention the TASH Conference. Awards Nominations

Each year, TASH honors those whose contributions have advanced equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities, and whose actions set a high standard for human rights every day. TASH award recipients are acknowledged during the TASH annual Conference. The 2024 awards nominations will be open from Monday, June 3 through Monday, August 5, 2024. Accessibility, Support, and Safe Space Policies

As part of TASH’s work to ensure ALL are included at the Conference, we have implemented a number of measures to support your participation at the conference. You can review our Conference policies at the Accessibility, Support and Safe Space Policies page.

Conference Scholarships

A limited number of Conference scholarships will be available for self-advocates or family members who demonstrate a need for support to attend the 2024 TASH Conference. Priority is given to first-time attendees and current TASH members. A scholarship covers the registration fee only and does not include travel, meals, or hotel expenses. Scholarship applications will be open from Thursday, August 1 through Friday, September 27, 2024.

Volunteering at the TASH Conference

A TASH Conference would not happen without the support of our amazing volunteers! This year is no exception! TASH members, who commit to volunteer for ten hours (2 five-hour shifts), receive $150 off their Conference registration! Conference volunteer applications will be open from Monday, July 29 through Friday, October 18, 2024.

Call for Proposals

The Call for Proposals for the 2024 TASH Conference was open from Monday, March 4 through Monday, June 3, 2024. It is currently closed. The review process will take place June 17 – July 5, and results will be shared with the presentation’s point of contact by early August. The complete Conference schedule will be published in September.
